Scarves for Every Season:
Learn stitch patterns and techniques for four one-of-a-kind projects.

webinar with Faina Goberstein

The right scarf to your outfit is like the last stroke of paint to a fabulous painting. There is no such thing as having too many scarves. Fun, versatile, easy to wrap around your neck, knitted scarves are also soft and comforting.

Knit scarves are accessories that you can make and wear in any season. Great for all skill levels of knitters, scarves also make great quick-to-knit gifts to give.

Faina Goberstein’s webinar offers techniques for four distinctly seasonal scarf designs. The stitch patterns for each scarf are easy but interesting and offer knitters a unique opportunity to learn a technique while knitting a quick project. Note: the patterns for each scarf are sold seperately.

The scarves:

  • Spring scarf is a light and lacy confirmation of the uplifting mood of new beginnings.
  • Summer scarf is designed in open work stitch patterns. It can be worn at the beach to keep you cool or over a dress in the evening.
  • Fall scarf is all about texture and surrounding colors. Just a little tweak of knit and purl stitches and you got a winner.
  • Winter scarf is warm and striking. It is not only functional but an exciting piece that keeps you in fashion even when you want to bundle up. This scarf is made from a bulky yarn with a large cable running in the middle of seed stitch.

Faina will walk you through each scarf, from how to read the pattern, follow a chart, choose the right yarn, to even being inspired to design your own seasonal scarf. Plus, she will share tips with you to make each scarf a success.

With this webinar, you will learn how to:

  • Read and understand abbreviations and patterns
  • Choose appropriate yarns for each scarf
  • Knit cables and lace
  • Produce nice selvage edges on each scarf
  • Use tools such as row counters and a cable needle
  • Knit open stitch and textured stitch patterns
  • Design your own scarf
  • And more!

Who should attend?

  • Knitters who know basic skills of knitting
  • Knitters who are interested in learning how to work cable, textured, open work, and lace stitch patterns
  • Knitters who love small but exciting projects
  • People who love to learn more about knitting
