Description

Probably the first poured metal technique, sandcasting is low tech and can be done with jewelry sized pieces in most workshops. Your belt has never looked this good!

Required Materials: Sand, parting powder, 8-gauge wire for hook and bail on buckle, Metal to cast, Water to temper sand, Casting flux (powdered borax or commercial preparation), Soldering flux, Solder


Tools Needed: Safety equipment, Jeweler’s saw, Pliers, Knife for carving sprue channel. See project for complete list.
