If you love the look of fold-formed metal and hoop earrings, this project combines these two looks to create a beautiful accessory! This design can be adapted to any type of metal, larger or smaller sizes, and embellished in any way you like. You can create pairs in copper, brass and silver.

Required Materials:

• 22-gauge copper sheet, 1.5″ x 5″
• 20-gauge half-hard sterling wire, 4″
• Ruler or straight edge
• Steel bench block
• Magnesium block
• Pickle pot
• Pickling compound
• Diamond files
• Sanding block

Tools: Jeweler’s saw or metal shears; Ball peen hammer; Riveting hammer; Round-nose pliers; Flat-nose pliers; Chain-nose pliers; Bail forming pliers; Palette knife or clay tool; 1.8mm hole punch or drill; Butane torch
Technique: Annealing the metal while folding to create rivets
