Moss stitch and merino/silk sweater.

Description

Moss stitch and a merino/silk blend bring structure and shape to this sweater. A sweater with three dimensional form with top-down raglan construction and crossover front panels that close under a dramatic folded collar.

Finished Size: 33 ½ (37, 40, 44, 47)” bust circumference, buttoned, with fronts overlapping about 9 ½(10 ½, 10 ½, 10 ½, 10 ½)”. Jacket shown measures 33 ½”, and is designed with about 4″ to 6″ ease; front overlap can be adjusted when worn to accommodate slightly larger or in-between sizes.
Yarn: Naturally Merino et Soie 10-ply (70% merino, 30% silk; 109 yd [100 m]/ 50 g): #109 purple, 12 (13, 15, 17, 19) balls. Yarn distributed by Fiber Trends.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4″ in moss st.
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): one 29″ circular (cir), two 16″ circulars (see Notes), and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); two ¾” buttons; tapestry needle; stitch holder or scrap yarn (optional if using one shorter cir).
