If you’ve learned the mechanics of stranded color work, then this sweater makes a great first Fair Isle project. In a worsted-weight yarn, it works up much quicker than a traditional Fair Isle sweater; there are no color runs more than five stitches long; and no steeks are required!

Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 21 sts and 24 rnds = 4″ in Fair Isle patt on larger needle; 19 sts and 28 rnds = 4″ in St st with MC on larger needle; 20 sts and 30 rnds = 4″ in St st with MC on smaller needles (worked on sleeves)
