Description

Embellished herringbone stitched rings and beaded leather strips form these rustic earrings with a modern twist. Use seed beads to form a tubular herringbone-stitched ring to dangle in the leather loop.

Finished Size: 3″
Required Materials:

  • matte opaque red pepper size 11° seed beads
  • metallic light copper-plated size 11° cylinder beads
  • opaque red size 11° cylinder beads
  • opaque turquoise size 8° seed beads
  • turquoise 4.5mm heishi
  • steel 5x7mm oval jump rings
  • silver-plated 19x19mm ear wires
  • brown 5mm leather lace
  • Smoke 4 lb braided beading thread
  • Jewelry cement

Tools: Scissors, Size 11 beading needle, Fine-point permanent marker, Awl or leather hole punch, 2 pairs of chain- or flat-nose pliers

Technique: ladder stitch, tubular herringbone stitch, fringe, wireworking
