Description
Beginning with a frilled cast-on that creates a picot edge, the Ribbon Tool Shawl is nearly identical on both sides. It is worked top-down in garter stitch and short-rows, then a perpendicular edging is worked along the bottom, with stitches between body and edging joined with decreases.
Finished Size: 66″ wide and 14¾” tall.
Yarn: Dragonfly Fibers Pixie (100% superwash merino; 475 yd [434 m]/4 oz [113 g]): springtime in Washington, 2 skeins.
Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): 40″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Removable marker (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge: 18 sts and 36 rows = 4″ in garter st.
