A simple lace pattern creates an intricate summer shawl.

Description

Jill Wright incorporates shaping into this three-panel shawl, making it a half-hexagon shape. It is worked seamlessly; when the loops “outgrow” the broomstick, the panels are worked separately but joined to the previous panel as you go. The richly beaded border is a final elegant touch.

Finished Size: 26″ deep and 62″ wide.
Yarn: Valley Yarns 2/10 Merino Tencel (Colrain Lace) (50% merino, 50% Tencel; 1,400 yd [1,280 m]/8 oz [227 g]; ): whipple blue, ½ lb cone. Yarn distributed by WEBS.
Yarn weight: #1 – Super Fine
Hook: Size G/6 (4 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge: Gauge is not critical for this project.
