Description

The process for this project is straightforward torch fired enameling. If you have a kiln, that would also work well.

Skills: Enameling, fabrication

Materials:

  • Enamel, transparent colors of choice
  • 2 20-gauge sterling silver discs, 1” and ½”
  • 3mm, sterling silver tube
  • Holding agent (diluted) or KlyrFire
  • Pickle
  • 18” of sterling silver chain of choice
  • Extra easy solder paste
  • 400 grit sandpaper
  • Steel wool

Tools:

Sifter, trivet, spatula, paint brush, clean paper (magazine), butane torch, tripod with mesh, fire tweezers (cross-locking are best), soldering board of choice, jeweler’s saw and 2/0 saw blades, tube cutting pliers, steel dap set, disc cutter
