Needles: Size 2 1?2 (3 mm): straight, 32" circular (cir), and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; sewing needle and thread; sewing machine (optional); iron; lining fabric (see Notes): 1 piece 14 1?2" x 30" for bag lining, 1 piece 8 1?2" x 11 1?4" to cover base stiffener, 1 piece 6 1?2" x 14" for interior pocket; heavyweight fusible facing (see Notes): 2 pieces 12" x 14", 2 pieces 4" x 10"; plastic mesh stiffener (see Notes): 1 piece 4" x 10"; 1?2" magnetic snap; unbleached cotton webbing strap, 2" wide x 3 yd length (or desired length).
