Description

After years of tight-fitting clothes, volume is back in fashion. Try it out with this Empire-waisted sweater where dolman sleeves grow out from a long, close-fitting cuff to join the body at the waist.

Finished Size: 31 ½ (35 ½”, 39 ¼, 43 ¼, 47 ¼)” circumference at Empire waist. Garment shown measures 31 ½” at Empire waist.
Yarn: GGH Merino Soft (100%merino wool; 187 yd [170m]/1¾ oz [50 g]; ): #89, 8 (9, 9, 10, 11) balls. Yarn distributed by Muench Yarns.
Yarn weight: #2 – Fine.
Gauge: 20 sts = 4″ and 10 rows = 3 ¾” in upper-bodice patt using larger hook; 3 horizontal patt reps = 4″ and 12 rows = 3½” in lower-bodice patt using smaller hook.
Hook: Sizes G/6 (4mm) and 7 (4.5mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
