Description

Unlike the other two shawls in this collection-which are worked top down in long rows shaped with short-rows-the Potter’s Shawl begins with a small number of stitches and increases from the top down. At the bottom of the garter body, a perpendicular lace edging is worked along the live stitches.

Finished Size: 56″ wide and 15″ deep.
Yarn: Shalimar Yarns Breathless (75% superwash merino wool, 15% cashmere, 10% silk; 420 yd [384 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): crayfish, 2 skeins.
Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm): 24″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 16 sts and 36 rows = 4″ in garter st.
