Crochet medallions link together to form the heart of this scarf, and knitted woven stitch worked lenghtwise showcases the handpainted yarn and forms the fringe.

Finished Size: About 4 ½” wide and 80″ long, excluding fringe
Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts BFL Sport (100% Blue-faced Leicester; 661 yd [604 m]/8 oz [226 g]): boysenberry (A), eggplanted (multi; B), one skein each.
Yarn Weight: #2 – Fine
Hook: Size F/5 (4 mm) hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain gauge.
Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm) 40″ circular needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle.
Gauge: 8 sts and 48 rows = 4″ in woven st; one crochet medallion measures 2″ across. Gauge is not critical.
