The velvety Peppermint Cowl is knitted on the bias in a textured stripe pattern. Long enough to wrap twice, this cowl is worked back and forth, and the ends are grafted together. The colors are carried up the side and neatly enclosed in the I-cord selvedge to avoid having to weave in extra ends. The pattern includes a tutorial for grafting the I-cord at each side.

Needles: Size 8 (5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Smooth waste yarn for provisional CO; size H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 13 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in Stripe patt.
