At home in the beautiful Welsh countryside, the designer is never at a loss for inspiration. This cardigan combines blocks of textured woodsy colors with blocks of her signature floral intarsia motifs. Each piece is worked back and forth from the lower edge upward. The fronts feature optional slit pockets and frontbands that are picked up and worked sideways. The neckband, cuffs, and lower edge are all worked in seed stitch. Because the pattern repeat is so large, only one size is given for this sweater. It can be made somewhat larger or smaller by going up or down in needle size.

Finished Size: 48″ (122 cm) bust/ chest circumference, buttoned.
Yarn: Rowan Felted Tweed (50% Merino, 25% alpaca, 25% viscose; 190 yd [174 m]/50 g): #144 conker (cranberry; MC), 7 skeins, #145 treacle (brown), 6 skeins. Rowan Fine Cotton Chenille (89% cotton, 11% polyester; 173 yd [158 m]/50 g): #411 catin (lime), #410 privet (teal), #407, ruby, #408 crocus (purple), 1 skein each. Rowan DK Tweed (100% wool; 124 yd [113 m]/50 g): #866 lush (green), #861 mellow (pink), 1 skein each. Rowan Wool Cotton (50% Merino, 50% cotton; 120 yd [108 m]/50 g): #929 dream (pale yellow), #904 lakeside (blue), #931 gazelle (dark rose), #933 violet (light purple), 1 skein each.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 26 sts and 30 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in St st color patt on larger needles.
Needles: Body and Sleeves – Size 5 (3.75 mm). Edging-Size 3 (3 mm). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
