Description

The vertical stripes in this shawl change color in a pattern determined by the Fibonacci sequence for a visually appealing gradation. Worked side to side, this easy-to-style triangle shawl is crocheted using both chains and extended stitches to give it a crisp edge, and it has fringe for days!

Finished Size: 63½ ” wide and 26″ deep at point.
Specific Yarn Used: HiKoo Sueño (distributed by Skacel) (80% superwash merino wool, 20% viscose from bamboo; 255 yd [233 m]/3½ oz [100 g]; #1196 silver sage (MC) and #1101 grey heather (CC), 3 hanks each.
Hook: Size 7 (4.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle.
Gauge: 22 sts and 18 rows = 4″
Notes:

  • Do not chain at beginning of even rows. Pull up a slightly longer loop to adjust for the height.
  • First and last stitches of each row are worked through both loops unless otherwise stated.
