The Oxbow Pullover is worked in two different directions. First, the sleeves and yoke are worked from side to side, then stitches are picked up and worked down to the hem. The two-toned yarn adds depth to the sculptural cable pattern, and an I-cord edging creates a clean edge along the cuffs and hem.

Specific Yarn Used: Zealana Performa Rimu DK (60% fine New Zealand Merino wool, 40% brushtail possum; 140 yd [128 m]/ 1 ¾ oz [50 g]): #R23 Kakariki Blue, 11 (12, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) balls.

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): 16″ and 24–32″ circular (cir), depending on size you are making. Size 7 (4.5 mm): 24–32″ cir, depending on size you are making. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 27 sts and 29 rnds = 4″ in cable patt on larger needle.
