A scarf that can be used as a head wrap and belt.

Description

Doris Chan whips up a quick fashion statement with a single ball of sock yarn – one of the orphans that tend to turn up in a crocheter’s stash. Wear it as a scarf, a belt, a head wrap or whatever else you can imagine.

Finished Size: 5 ½” wide and 72″ long.
Yarn: South West Trading Company TOFUtsies (50% superwash wool, 25% soysilk fibers, 22.5% cotton, 2.5% chitin; 460 yd [425m]/3 ½ oz [100 g]; ): #916 tiger, 1 ball.
Yarn weight: #2 – Fine
Gauge: 20 sts = 4″ in sc with smaller hook; 7 sts and 12 rows = 4″ in sc with larger hook unblocked; 20 sts and 4 rows = 4″ in sc blocked.
Hook: Sizes G/6 (4 mm) and L/11 (8 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
