Description

Chunky yarn, cables, and a ribbed stitch pattern take on unexpected grace and elegance when matched with some easy openwork lace for this comfortable, casual, oversized pullover.

Finished Size: 37 ½ (43, 49, 54)” (95 [109, 124.5, 137] cm) bust/chest circumference. Sweater shown measures 49″ (124.5 cm).
Yarn: Schoeller Esslinger Sunshine (88% wool, 12% polyamide; 55 yd [50 m]/50 g): #12 sage, 22 (24, 26, 28) balls.
Yarn weight: #5 – Bulky
Gauge: 17 sts and 19 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in pillar rib pattern on larger needles, after blocking; 21 sts in grand lace pattern = 6″ (15 cm) after blocking.
Needles: Body and Sleeves- Size 10 ½ (7.0 mm) and size 9 (5.5 mm); Neckband- Size 10 ½ (7.0 mm) and Size 9 (5.5 mm): 16″ (40-cm) circular (cir). Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Cable needle (cn); markers (m); tapestry needle.
