An exaggerated leaf pattern framed by undulating lines makes a modern, offbeat knitted lace pattern for a wraparound skirt.

Description

An exaggerated leaf pattern framed by undulating lines makes a modern, offbeat knitted lace pattern for a wraparound skirt. Gryphon Perkins designed the Ogee Lace Skirt to be worn long or short. To make it longer, simply knit another repeat or two.

Finished Size: 36 (43, 50)” waist circumference and 18″ long. Waist measurement includes fabric for overlap in wrapping. Skirt shown measures 36″ waist.
Yarn: Rowan Bamboo Tape (100% bamboo; 82 yd [75 m]/50 g): #710 amethyst, 4 (5, 6) balls. Yarn distributed by Westminster Fibers.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows of lace repeat = 7″ wide and 6″ long on larger needle, after blocking.
Needles: Size 11 (8 mm): 32″ circular (cir). I-cord tie—size 10 ½ (6.5 mm): 2 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Waste yarn for provisional CO; size L/11 (8 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.
