Description

The Nordique Swing jacket combines a cropped swing-coat silhouette, square sleeves, and an offset allover lace with a smart short-row-shaped stand-up collar for a layering piece with staying power. Veronik Avery uses increases and decreases to transfer stitches from the body fronts to the neck edge and joins collar extensions at the back of the neck for stability. A firm vintage-inspired wool adds structure.

Yarn St-Denis Nordique (100% wool; 150 yd [138 m]/50 g): #5852 eggplant, 7 (8, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) balls. Yarn distributed by Classic Elite Yarns.

Needles Body and sleeves. size 3 (3.25 mm): straight and 24″ or longer circular (cir). Ribbing. size 2½ (3 mm): 24″ or longer cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Stitch holders; tapestry needle; markers (m); eight 5/8″ buttons.
Gauge 24 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles.
