Work from the bottom up in rounds to create this beautiful knitted pullover pattern.

Description

Use a broken rib stitch and work from the bottom up to create this irresistible knitted pullover pattern. Make a statement with the stylish asymmetrical hem.

Designer: Lana Jois

Difficulty: Intermediate

Finished Size: 331?2 (381?2, 411?2, 471?4, 501?2)" bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 381?2"; modeled with 61?2" of positive ease.

Specific Yarn Used: Sugar Bush Yarns Bold (100% superwash merino wool; 190 yd
[174 m]/31?2 oz [100 g]): white, 6 (7, 8, 9,9) balls.

Yarn Weight: 4

Needles: Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm): 32" circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 6 (4 mm): 16" cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); removable m; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rnds = 4" in Broken Rib patt on larger needle.

Notes: This asymmetrical pullover is worked in the round from the bottom up. The wide panel at the hem is first worked sideways. Stitches for the body are picked up along one edge and shaped with short-rows to make the left side of the garment longer, then the body is worked in the round to the underarm. The front and back are worked separately back and forth above the underarm. After the shoulders are joined, sleeve stitches are picked up and the sleeve cap is shaped with short-rows. The sleeve is then worked in the round from the top down.
