Description

A rich play of texture patterns – twist stitches, cables, and ribs – embellishes this fitted cardigan. Small gussets worked in seed stitch taper from the hem to shape the waist on front and back, and three-quarter-length sleeves end just below the elbow. A scalloped crocheted edging finishes the narrow shawl collar and buttonbands.

Finished Size: 34 (36, 41 ½, 46 ½, 52)” bust circumference. Cardigan shown measures 36″.
Yarn: Berroco Pure Merino (100% merino; 92 yd [84 m]/50 g): #8532 cinnamon stick, 12 (12, 14, 16, 18) balls.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in St st; 24 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in charted patt.
Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); cable needle (cn); size 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle; five ¾” buttons.
