Description

Trick the eye with the Mirage Scarf. The pattern appears to be vertical lines when looked at straight-on; viewed aslant, it appears to have horizontal lines. The designer created this crochet illusions technique that all knitters can pick up and add some mystery to their projects. This scarf pairs well with the Mirage Hat Pattern.

Finished Size: about 4¾ ” wide and 56″ long (excluding fringe).
Yarn: Patons Classic Wool Worsted (100% pure new wool; 210 yd [192 m]/3½ oz [100 g]; ): #00231 chestnut brown (A), 2 skeins; # 77201 aquarium (B), #77223 lemongrass (C), 1 skein each.
Hook: Size I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle.
Gauge: 14 sts and 11 stripes (22 rows) = 4″ in patt.
