Yarn: Illîmani Yarn Sabri (85% organic cotton, 15% baby alpaca; 437 yd [400 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #31 Black (MC), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4) skeins; #82 Cream (CC) 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins.
Needles: Sizes 2 (2.75 mm) and 4 (3.5 mm): 24–32″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders or waste yarn; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 30 sts and 44 rnds = 4″ in charted patt on larger needles.
