About the Instructor:

Lexi Erickson is a Contributing Editor for?Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist. Lexi has a master’s degree in Jewelry Design and Fabrication and has studied with some of the leading teachers from the US and?Canada. Known as the “Queen of Soldering,” she has taught high school through university level jewelry courses for 30 years. Appropriately, her favorite quote is “A day without soldering is a day without sunshine.” She lives in Denver, Colorado, with her family and a large menagerie of puppies and kitties.

• Safety glasses
• Torch, torch heads, and fuel canister
• Wire and sheet solder
• Fluxes
• Solder picks
• Tweezers
• Needle-nose pliers
• Wire-wrapping pliers
• Flat-nose pliers
• Metal shears
• Dapping block and punch
• Sandpaper
• Charcoal block or fire brick, and fire-proof surface
• Small crockpot?
• pH Down (from a swimming pool supply store)
• Copper tongs for pickling
• Brass brush for finishing
