Description

The fully reversible Mason’s Hat, worked in the round from the bottom up, features handsome cables and a soft but rustic tweed yarn. To create a set, see Mason’s Scarf.

Sizes: 20 (22, 24)" brim circumference. Hat shown measures 22".
Yarn: Studio Donegal Soft Donegal (100% merino wool; 210 yd [190 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): 5202 olive, 2 skeins.
Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm): 16" circular (cir). Size 6 (4 mm): 16" cir and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Marker (m); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.
Gauge: 34 sts and 38 rnds = 4" in Cable patt on larger needle.
