Description

Shape delicious laceweight Malabrigo into this designer’s vest for spring that becomes a short-sleeve top for summer – perfect under a suit in a cool office. Single crochet in the back loop makes up the ribbed lower body, and treble shells form the upper front and back.

Finished Size: 31 ¼ (35, 38 ½, 42, 45 ½)” bust circumference. Garment shown measures 31 ¼” and is modeled with ¾” negative ease.
Yarn: Malabrigo Lace (100% baby merino wool; 470 yd [430 m]/1 ¾ oz [50 g]): #102 sealing wax (autumn orange), 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) skeins.
Yarn weight: #0 – Lace
Gauge: 42 sc and 36 rows = 4″ in ribbing; 4 ½ sh and 10 rows = 4″ in sh patt.
Hook: Size B/1 (2.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
