Description

The inspiration of this project comes from a piece of macramé, an art form made by knotting in imaginative combinations. It is a modern interpretation of a traditional technique. To create a piece of macramé, artists only use their fingers as tools. The square knot technique is applied in this project. You can quickly learn and master this technique with a little practice.

Required Materials: 16-gauge, 18-gauge, 20-gauge, 22-gauge, and 28-gauge, half hard round sterling wire, 4mm beads. See project for complete list.
Tools Needed: Round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, flush cutters, 5/16″ mandrel. See project for complete list.
Techniques Used: Wire and beads.
