The Limn Socks use classic stranded-colorwork motifs to create patterns reminiscent of picket fences. The pattern uses a four-stitch repeat, which makes the socks easy to adjust for different sizes. The socks are worked in the round from the cuff to the toe and feature a short-row heel.

Finished Size: 7 (7 ½, 8, 8 ½)” foot circumference and 9 ¼ (9 ¾, 10 ½, 10 ¾)” long from back of heel to tip of toe; foot length is adjustable. Socks shown measure 7″.

Specific Yarn Used: Cascade Yarns Heritage (75% superwash Merino wool, 25% nylon; 437 yd [400 m]/ 3 ½ oz [100 g]): #5681 Limestone (white; MC) and #5640 Cinnamon (brown; CC), 1 skein each.

Needles: Size 1 (2.25 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle.

Gauge: 34 sts and 40 rnds = 4″ in charted patt.
