Description

Work with a zigzag slip-stitch pattern in variegated yarns to create these colorful socks. Enjoy this pattern that breaks up color pooling. Perfect for anyone deserving of hand-knit socks.

Finished Size: 6¾ (7½, 8¼, 9, 9½, 10¼)” (17 [19, 21, 23, 24, 26] cm) foot circumference and 7 (8¼, 9, 10, 10¾, 11½)” (18 [21, 23, 25.5, 27.5, 29] cm) long from back of heel to tip of toe; foot length is adjustable. Socks shown measure 8¼” (21 cm).
Yarn: Shibui Knits Sock (100% superwash merino wool; 191 yd [175 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): 50’s kitchen (blue/orange variegated) or pagoda (red-orange), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins.
Needles: U.S. size 1 (2.25 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Marker(s); tapestry needle.
Gauge: 36 sts and 73 rnds = 4″ (10 cm) in charted patt.
