Alexandra Snowdon is an illustrator and hand-lettering artist from the U.K. She spent many years working as a graphic designer, but all she really wanted to do was draw. She took a year out to travel the world in her mid-30s and, upon her return, decided to go back to art school part time to study illustration and hand lettering in more depth. Fitting in her studies around her graphic design job was a tough call, but she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009. Three years later, Alexandra left her day job and fulfilled her dream of becoming a full-time, self-employed illustrator. She still loves to travel and finds much of her inspiration on her overseas trips.
