Description

Diagonal and vertical lines mix with mesh in a batwing jacket.

Finished Size: 34 ¼ (39, 44, 48 ½, 53 ½, 58 ½)” hip circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 39”, modeled with 6” of positive ease.
Yarn: Universal Yarn Deluxe Chunky (100% wool; 120 yd [110 m]/3 ½ oz [100 g]): #13209 stone, 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) skeins.
Needles: Size 10 (6 mm): 32” circular (cir) and two double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); removable m; stitch holders; tapestry needle; three 7/8” buttons.
Gauge: 13 sts and 22 rows = 4” in k1, p1 rib; 16 sts and 18 rows = 4” in diagonal lace patt, un-stretched.
