Description

Originally copied from a little Danish undershirt from the 1960s, this baby undershirt is updated with a colored stripe. It can be worn as a cool summer topper or as a toasty-warm winter undershirt.

Finished Size 20″ chest circumference and 12″ from bottom edge to shoulder; to fit 0-24 months (tie makes top adjustable).
Yarn Halcyon Yarn Casco Bay Worsted (100% cotton; 155 yd): #971020 natural cream (MC), 1 minicone. 1 minicone of CC; shown here in #971070 latté (CC) or #211 sage (CC).
Yarn Weight #3 – Light
Needles Sizes 5 (3.75 mm) and 9 (5.5 mm): 16-20″ circular (cir) or set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; size G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook.
Gauge 16 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needle.
