Description

The distinguished Iditarod Pullover features unexpected, elegant cables on the front and back that are balanced by simple stockinette-stitch sleeves and a ribbed turtleneck. The body and sleeves are worked in the round from the bottom up; the sleeve caps are worked fl at and then seamed.

Specific Yarn Used: Imperial Yarn Columbia (100% wool; 170 yd [155 m]/4 oz [113 g]): cocoa heather, 7 (8, 8, 9, 10) skeins.
Needles: Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 8 (5 mm): 32” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 6 (4 mm): 16" cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); two cable needles (cn); size G/6 (4 mm) crochet hook; spare size 6 (4 mm) cir needle; stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge: 22 sts and 24 rnds = 4" in cable patt on larger needle. 15 sts and 24 rnds = 4" in St st on larger needle.
