Honeycomb Hat and Scarf Knitting Pattern Download

Teva loves working with stitch patterns that resemble organic forms. The challenge is to utilize the structure of the stitch pattern to shape a piece, as she’s done here. Honeycomb cells allow this scarf undulating borders and an interesting growth pattern at each end.

Finished Size: One Size: Hat: 18″/45.5cm in circumference; 6″/15cm fronTheight; 7″/18cm back depth; Scarf: 4.5″/11.5cm wide x 30″/76cm long.
Yarn: Loop-d-Loop by Teva Durham Moss (85% extrafine merino wool, 15% nylon; 163 yd [147m]/50g): #02 mocha and #04 aqua, 1 ball each.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 26 sts (3 honeycombs) = 4.25″ (11 cm) in honeycomb pattern and #7 needles.
Needles: Size 7 (4.5mm) circular, 16″/40cm long. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle.
