Description

The Hexol Pullover is a great project for experienced knitters. The diagonal rib pattern and asymmetrical neckline add a bit of a challenge but are well worth it in the end.

Yarn weight: 4

Finished size: 34 (38 3/4, 42, 46 3/4, 50, 53 1/2)” circumference at underarm. Pullover shown measures 34″; modeled with 3″ of positive ease.

Specific yarn used: Mrs. Crosby Steamer Trunk (100% superwash Merino wool; 164 yd [150 m]/31/2 oz [100 g]): Great-tailed Grackle, 9 (10, 11, 13, 14, 15) skeins.

Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm): 24–36″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 6 (4 mm): 24–36″ cir and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary, to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); removable m; stitch holders; cable needle (cn); size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook; waste yarn for provisional CO; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 18 sts and 27 rnds = 4″ in St st on larger needle; 25 sts and 31 rnds = 4″ in diagonal rib patt on larger needle.
