The smoother and bouncier the yarn, the crisper and more pronounced the cable patterning will be. With a less elastic, more stringlike yarn, cables will be less prominent.

Finished Size: 37 ½ (41, 44 ½, 48)” bust circumference. Jacket shown measures 41″.
Yarn: O-Wool Classic (100% certified organic wool; 198 yd [181 m]/100 g): #4400 sumac (red), 10 (10, 12, 13) skeins.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 22 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in 2/3 rib, relaxed; 40 sts and 32 rows of cable panel = 6½” wide and 5″ high.
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
