Description

A playful take on a winter basic, these mittens are worked in reverse stockinette stitch in the round. Neat, narrow stripes and contrast thumbs and cuffs put every inch of lofty llama-wool blend to good use.

Finished Size: 7 ¼ (8, 9 ½)” hand circumference and 9 (9 ¾, 10 ½)” long, to fit a small woman (medium woman, man).
Yarn: Cascade Pastaza (50% llama; 50% wool, 132 yd [121 m]/100 g): #084 teal (MC) and #004 wheat germ (CC), 1 skein each.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in rev St st.
Needles: Size 7 (4.5 mm): set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle; waste yarn for afterthought thumb.
