Claude Monet’s gardens at his home in Giverny, France, were the setting for some of his most well-known works. Imagine wisteria climbing the trellises there as you work a beautiful vining lace up the center back of the Giverny Top. The lacing at the back hem gives a subtle nod to the corsets worn in Monet’s era.

Yarn: BC Garn Bio Balance (55% organic wool, 45% organic cotton; 246 yd [225 m]/13/4 oz [50 g]): #11 Skylight, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9) skeins. Yarn distributed by Kelbourne Woolens.

Needles: Size 2 (2.75 mm): 24–40″ circular (cir), depending on size you are making. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
