Description

Take a piece of the forest with you wherever you venture with the Genesee Mountain Poncho. The bold cable designs mimic trees, branches, and wood knots for an artistic take on natural elements. This poncho is worked from the bottom up and in the round.

Yarn Weight: 4

Finished Size: 45 (65)" circumference at lower edge, 16¼ (18¼ )" circumference at neck, and 18½ (18¾ )" long. Poncho shown measures 45" on a model with a 34" bust.

Specific Yarn Used: Sugar Bush Yarns Bold (100% extra fine superwash merino; 190 yd [174 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #3028 fir, 4 (6) balls.

Needles: Size 8 (5 mm): 16" and 32" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Marker (m); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.

Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rnds = 4" in Cable patt.
