Intricate Shetland-style lace and hardy lace-weight wool combine in a light-as-air shawl that keeps out the chill. The Genealogy Shawl starts with a provisional cast-on, and the center panel and borders are worked in two directions. The decorative edging is joined to the shawl as it is worked, and the ends are grafted together using Kitchener stitch.
