Description

These simple pieces of home decor are worked in garter-stitch and two yarns knit together. For an added touch, sewn on buttons at simple embellishments.

Finished Size: Placemat: 19″ x 11″; pot holder: 8″ x 8″.
Yarn: Mission Falls 1824 Cotton (100% cotton; 84 yd [77 m]/50 g): #202 cardinal, 10 skeins (4 for each placemat, 2 for pot holder). Yarn distributed by CNS Yarns.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 12 sts and 20 rows (10 ridges) = 4″ in garter st with yarn doubled.
Needles: Size 13 (9 mm) needles. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle, assorted buttons, sewing needle and matching thread.
