Gardenia Stole Knitting Pattern Download

Description

The lace patterning of the Gardenia Stole was inspired by angel wings and peacock feathers. The stole is worked flat in two pieces, starting with the lace edges, and then grafted in the center using Kitchener stitch. The merino-silk laceweight yarn creates an elegant drape, even while held double throughout the project.

SPECIFIC YARN USED Jagger Spun Zephyr Lace (50% merino wool, 50% silk; 1120 yd (1024 m)/3½ oz (100 g)): pewter, 2 skeins.
NEEDLES SIZE 5 (3.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS Stitch holder; tapestry needle.
GAUGE 24 sts and 28 rows = 4” in St st with 2 strands held tog.
