Description

Victoria Myers says: “With this method for working intarsia, I managed to get past my memories of wonky animals splayed across squeaky acrylic backgrounds. I made friends with the technique.” This dress contrasts color and lace blocks to create a swingy dress fit for any garden party.

Finished Size: 21 ¼ (24, 26, 28)” chest circumference; to fit size 2 (4, 6, 8). Dress shown measures 24″.
Yarn: Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo (52% cotton, 48% bamboo; 245 yd [224 m]/100 g): #174 snapdragon (MC), 2 (2, 3, 3) balls; #098 magnolia (CC), 2 balls.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles; 24 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in St st on smaller needle.
Needles: Size 6 (4 mm). Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); 2 small stitch holders; 1 large stitch holder; tapestry needle.
