Techniques covered: Choosing appropriate yarns for planned color pooling, working a variety of striped and textured stitch patterns, expanding motifs into full-size projects.
  Skill level: Intermediate and up. Students should know basic crochet stitches, be familiar with planned color pooling, and have certain amount of patience.
  Materials Required: At least one worsted-weight, variegated yarn with color runs of at least 7 inches and a repeating color sequence (preferably several to choose from), appropriate crochet hooks, darning needles, contrasting waste yarn.

About the Instructor:
  Deborah Bagley is a planned color pooling expert and prolific crochet designer. Deborah and her twin sister learned to crochet from their grandmother as teenagers and began designing in 2011, publishing their work on Yarnovations.com. In addition to crochet, Deborah has recently added knitting and pin loom weaving to her repertoire and is currently working on an ebook of pin loom animals. Deborah has taught elementary and middle school both in the United States and abroad, but she and her family are now based in Colorado.
