Description

This designer knows that in the right yarn, small-footprint patterns can pack a punch. Worked in a fine angora blend, the dense two-color herringbone pattern feels at once graphic and softly subtle.

Finished Size: 22″ circumference at brim.
Yarn: Classic Elite Fresco (60% wool, 30% baby alpaca, 10% angora; 164 yd [151 m]/50 g): #5375 graystone (MC) and #5303 cinder (CC), 1 skein each.
Yarn weight: #2 – Fine
Gauge: 28 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in herringbone patt on larger needle.
Needles: Size 2 (2.75 mm): 16″ circular (cir). Size 3 (3.25 mm): 16″ cir and set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle, one 5/8″ button.
