Description

A beautiful combination of curving lines punctuated with eyelet details to resemble fountain pen nibs-or spiky banana flowers.

Finished size 78″ wide at top edge and 39″ long, measured down center line, after blocking. Pattern is easily made larger or smaller because the bottom border flows directly from the main stitch pattern.
Yarn Lorna’s Laces Helen’s Lace (50% silk, 50% wool; 1250 yd [1143 m]/113g); #9NS pewter, 1 skein. Sample project used about 77 grams of the recommended yarn.
Needles Size 6 (4mm); straight or 24″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Coilless safety pin; tapestry needle; T-pins for blocking.
Gauge 16 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in St st, after blocking.
