This fun tote uses long color changes in contrast yarn to make each flower a fun starbust of color. The motifs are worked separately and joined, allowing this project to be made in pieces.

Description

Inspired by a late-night tour through Pinterest, this bag combines classic square granny-style motifs arranged on point. The long color changes in the contrast yarn create the effect of a multicolored garden. The handle is seamlessly formed along the upper edge of the bag.

Finished Size: 12 1/2 ” wide and 10″ tall,
including handle.

Yarn: Red Heart Soft (100% acrylic; 256 yd
[234 m]/5 oz [141 g]; ): #9344
chocolate (MC), 1 skein. Red Heart
Boutique Unforgettable (100% acrylic;
280 yd [256 m]/3 1/2 oz [100 g]; ):
#3977 sunrise (CC), 1 skein.

Hook: Size G/6 (4 mm). Adjust hook size if
necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Yarn needle; optional lining: 2
fat quarters of cotton fabric; sewing needle and thread.
