Description

Inspired by flower vines growing up a chain-link fence in late summer, this pretty and sturdy bag holds all you need for a day out or an evening of fun. For those who haven’t yet made crochet cables, this bag is a good project to learn on.

Finished Size: 16″ wide across base, 9 ½” wide across top opening, and 15″ tall.
Yarn: Reynolds Soft Sea Worsted (100% wool; 77 yd [70 m]/1 ¾ oz [50 g]; CYCA-standard yarn weight system-4): #9213 light grey (MC), 6 skeins; #9321 plum (A), 2 skeins; #9652 olive green (B), 1 skein. Yarn distributed by JCA.
Yarn weight: #4 – Medium
Gauge: 13 sc and 15 rows = 4″ with smaller hook.
Needles: Hooks: Sizes H/8 (5 mm) and I/9 (5.5 mm). Adjust hook sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn needle; purse handles, 8″; ½ yd fabric for lining (optional); magnetic snap closure (optional); sharp sewing needle and matching thread (optional).
